CMHS - Canadian Military Pattern C15a Restoration ProjectApril 07, 2011It was an ordeal, but the students refused to give up, and the box is off. Mr. Pastore (Auto Teacher) was surprised that the box never shifted or fell off as the brackets holding it were barely on. On a positive note the back wheels started to move once we got the back off (had to roll the CMP to get the back off). The frame looks to be in great condition, though there are some as yet unknown parts (third and fourth pictures). April 06, 2011Today the CMP C15a made its way from the storage facility in Pelham to the Port Colborne High School where it was greeted by several excited students who can't wait to get their hands on it and restore her. The mechanic shop teacher was equally eager to have at her and had already spoken to several businesses in town who are willing to help restore her to her glory days. We have a transmission shop, an engine shop and paint shop in Port Colborne who already stated they will perform services on behalf of the school program, with us only having to pay wholesale price for the parts. Adrian and I were present and it was a good day. Adrian gave a quick history lesson to the students present.
